On Friday July 1st in San Antonio, Texas 31 year old Argentinian Sebastian Lujan had an amazing performance against 25 year old Filipino Mark Melligen.  After Melligan was knocked down at least 4 times we all clearly saw he was exhausted by Lujan’s body shots. What I don’t get is the media did not even give credit to Sebastian Lujan? Why?

All I ever saw on twitter and various websites ” I hope Melligen recovers etc.” Well can we give some credit here? To Lujan. Lujan came in to fight Melligan 8 days notice and honestly he deserves to be back to the top and maybe even get a shot with the European welterweight champs.

As for Melligen, I never thought he was that great as everyone made him out to be and I predicted he would get knocked out and we clearly saw he was exposed. Lujan’s experience put a dent on Melligen’s talent. But I give Melligen credit for not giving up.
